About Dr. Amanbir Sohal

Amanbir Sohal is a pulmonologist located in the Northwest Houston area, board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical care. 

Dr. Sohal grew up in NW Houston area as a child, where he attended school in Klein ISD. After medical school he went on to complete residency and fellowship training at University of Missouri in Columbia. 

Dr. Sohal has particular interest in COPD/emphysema including evaluation and placement of endobronchial valves, interstitial lung disease/pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, bronchiectasis, COVID lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, lung nodules and cancer, pleural effusions and more. He performs many procedures including bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy, chest tube placement, tunneled intrapleural catheter placement, thoracentesis, and transbronchial and navigational robotic biopsies.

Dr. Sohal speaks English, Hindi and Punjabi. He currently serves as the Director of Pulmonary Rehabilitation program at HCA Healthcare Tomball. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Texas Medical Association.

He is committed to providing highest quality care to his patients and strives for superior care and outcomes. When not at work, he focuses on his family and spending time with his two sons and wife. He enjoys sports, especially basketball, and leads a very active lifestyle.
